Description

Massachussetts upholstered low arm chair, circa 1780-1800. The design is attributed to John Seymour, the master crafter of Boston who is considered the Rembrandt of Federal furniture in America. The integration of the arm terminals with serpentine arm supports are outlined in hand applied inlay and is tour de force of original design. This fine inlay is repeated on the tapered legs. Select from over 60 finishes as well as our wide range of fabrics and leathers as well as a companion side chair. Oxford is the standard finish as shown. Optional NS-08 nail head trim shown.
